AUDI has recently updated the rather lovely A5 coupe. This mid-range executive smoothie has been given the usual mild facelift and new range of engines. Updates to the best selling 2.0 diesel have brought the CO2 rating down to a tiny 122g/km and made a very desirable car even more desirable. The price for this? A steep £25,500 before options. Luckily, the older cars look pretty much identical and used prices, while firm, are heading in the opposite direction. An early model can be yours for less than £15,000 and at that money we’d suggest opting for the 1.8 turbo petrol. Alfa Romeo Brera We’d rarely suggest buying a car on looks alone, but if you did, this would be it. A truly lovely looking thing that appears vastly more expensive than it actually is.
